In this session everyone shared their progress about the roadmap they had created. Roadmap is one of the most important components of Bhutan Baccalaureate. It is used as a tool by the learners in taking ownership of their learning. The creation of the roadmap is an integral part of the five areas of development curriculum (physical, cerebral, emotional, social and spiritual) in the Bhutan Baccalaureate. Individual learners will have to create aims and indicators of success across all the domains and the five areas of development. Also, each teacher and student create their individual roadmaps, the mentor groups form an overall group roadmap which links in the commonalities found across the individual roadmaps.
This particular session on
sharing our roadmaps served to be very useful for me since I was able to get a
clear idea about how and why roadmaps are made and also how it actually helps
every individual to grow in those five areas of development. Likewise, hearing
the progress that everyone had made so far was quite inspiring for me. I was
the only one who didn’t share about my roadmap since I didn’t have a clear
idea. However, now that I have clear idea, I hope I would be able to keep track
of my own learning like my other mates attending this session together with me.
I also refined my roadmap and I feel it would be great way to display my own
roadmap here:
